Integrated QA/QC Capabilities

At Wayne Trail, we build quality assurance features into every machine and module to address the high variability inherent in bending tube and pipe, such as:

• Tool nests include part-in-place sensors.
• Hole presence can be checked after all piercing/hole punching operations using sensors or mechanical poke yoke devices.
• Bending systems frequently include integrated assembly verification and vision inspection systems.

Other more sophisticated options are also available, such as the Bend AutoCorrect option offered with the Flexbending® process. This feature allows bend corrections to be automatically downloaded from a non-contact measuring system, quickly and easily compensating for tube variations resulting from different raw material lots or tooling. In many cases, new tubes can be placed on the line and bent to specification within only a few bend-measure-correct cycles.
